How we work
Experienced practitioners work on institutional-grade technology infrastructure, engineered for the operators who actually need it.
Structured finance runs on judgment. Documents, models and systems carry a transaction a long way, but the moments that decide its outcome are handled by people. If you have capital at risk, you want to know who those people are.
Built with the people who do the work.
If your capital is at risk, you want to know who exercises the judgment.
Atlas is structured finance veterans and engineers working as one team, under leadership drawn from operations and engineering. The veterans have run these transactions themselves. They shape the platform with the engineers, and clients work with them directly.
The people in the seats keep the judgment. The platform calculates and recommends, records what was done as it happens, and shows it to the parties entitled to see it.
A new firm earns trust through the experience of its people, the precision of what it commits to, and the record of its own work. Atlas asks to be judged on those three things, and on nothing borrowed.
None of that can be automated, and Atlas does not pretend otherwise.
The technology
Consistent, documented, visible.
Atlas ABS is held to an institutional standard, so that the work is consistent from one transaction to the next, documented as it happens, and visible to the parties who rely on it.
The technology supports the judgment. It does not stand in for it. The practitioners decide; the system records what was reviewed, when and by whom, and shows it to the parties entitled to see it. A review that exists only in an inbox is not a record. A review the lender can open is.
Because the platform is the system of record, the way a transaction is run and the way it is recorded are the same thing. There is one record for every transaction on Atlas ABS, and the parties who rely on it can see it.
- Consistent. The same review on the twentieth transaction as on the first.
- Documented. Every review recorded as it happens, not reconstructed after the fact.
- Visible. The parties who rely on the work can see what was done, when and by whom.
- Built with the seats. Shaped by structured finance veterans who know each seat's work, and run by the people who do the work.

What the firm holds itself to.
Five commitments, in force on every release.
- Authority set before it is used. Each seat's permissions are set on the platform before the moment they are needed, under role assignments the parties control. Nothing is done outside them.
- Every review documented. Each verification, approval and sign-off is recorded as it happens, so what was checked and when is never in doubt.
- Problems surfaced early. Covenants are tracked from warning to breach, each breach confirmed by a person, escalated on the record and open until its cure is recorded.
- One record for every transaction on Atlas ABS. The work is documented as it happens and visible to the parties who rely on it, for the life of the transaction, and no party can edit it, Atlas included.
- Judgment stays with people. Decisions are made by practitioners who answer for them. The technology records and supports; it does not decide.
Speak with a principal.
Tell us about the transaction and your position in it, and a principal will be in touch.
- The transaction: term, warehouse or private asset-based, and where it stands
- Your position in it: lender, issuer, investor, servicer or another party
- What you would like to discuss: a demo, the Design Partner Program, or something else
